The fallen children

I have no idea how I made it through pictures like this without podcasts.

Cube terrarium

One of my favorite artworks I've ever done. This particular terrarium is real - it is modeled after a Christmas gift I received from a friend.

The details are very busy and intricate, but I like it - summer of 2016 (well, the whole year, really) was a rough time. Working on art was a comfort activity to keep me occupied.

Early adventures in water-mixable oil

My first oil painting. This was done on a scrap wood panel.

I took a painting class at community college to earn transferable credits. To be completely honest, I went into that class not looking forward to it because I didn't like painting. But the laid-back nature of this class, and introduction to different paint materials, made me fall in love with painting.

The picture above was my first true exploration into oil paint. From there, I was hungry for more!

I wanted to experiment with all the different colors available. I borrowed the paint that was in the studio, trying them out one by one. It was a very fun and memorable experience. Sadly, I no longer have either of these paintings as I gave them away.

Succulent fairy

I modeled this after the succulent in the kitchen. We even have the fairy (although she doesn't look as kawaii desu IRL)

Echo flower terrarium

Echo flower themed artwork. I think this was the first of the terrarium pictures I did. I was going through a hard time back then.

Two commissions for Liliorl on Deviantart. These were quite fun to work on, especially Blanca.

One day

My submission to an art zine. The theme was "One day, I'll..."

One day I will be happy and secure in who I am. I'll have an amazing partner to stand by my side.

One day...
